This company does not care about your well being as an employee. Do not be fooled with any spiel they give you about their "culture". It's all phony lip service. It's incredibly emotionally damaging and draining work and you will not receive any meaningful recognition. I never felt worse in my life than when I worked with Sonder. The work load is unreasonable and relentless. If you just need a job temporarily, please try your best to do as little as possible because you will not be valued and will likely be laid off if you're anywhere near their guest services department. Also the CEO...is something else. I found him to be out of touch and completely unbearable as someone who seems to consider themselves a leader in the hospitality industry. No ingenuity, no invention, no inspiration, no integrity. Simply ripping off Airbnb's long established model but added flipping old hotels into hideous, cheap, faux stylish rentals with consistent and concerning security issues. I know they're so sawwy to hear I had this experience and want to make sure you know they're doing they're best, but don't be fooled, friends. These folks are not to be trusted. I mostly try to forget my time here, but I've been getting a lot of unwanted targeted ads for Sonder lately and it turns my stomach to see how they present themselves vs. how dubious and dishonest their actual business practices are. But don't worry, I'm sure they're grateful for the feedback and are so sawwy I had this experience lol yeeeesh.
