There is a ton of turnover. They routinely hire contractors for a few days and fire them if they are not good enough after that period. I understand the need to stay within budgets and maximize efficiency, but very few people are 100% up to speed on a role after a few days. Most onboarding periods at companies are for a few weeks at a time. I was let go over a ~30 second phone call after all of my accounts were locked when I logged on for the day. Although, that is part of being a contractor, but I don't see how a company can run like this in the long term, just burning through talent left and right. I was also given work outside the scope of my JD and expected to do work for the presidents other companies, which was never communicated to me.
