Pros

young office, nice colleagues, good kitchen

Cons

i was totally lied to in the interview. i was told i wouldn't be cold calling. i was also told on the phone i was to be doing inbound calls only. on my second day of training the trainer said we were all doing outbound and it was "warm leads" which is essentially COLD CALLING. you're selling insurance to old people. the calls are all monitored and if you get anything wrong, E.g. the order your script is in, then you lose your commission even if you make a sale. they tell you in your interview that all weekend work is paid in cash. its paid into your bank via transfer but only if you make 2 sales. you also have to work one Saturday per month as part of your contract. I started on the Monday and left on the Thursday and when i enquired how and when id be getting paid i was told if i left before 2 weeks, i wouldn't receive my wage for 3 months. and they also didn't take any of my banking details and as i left after a week, i haven't had any of the 5 days worth of work i did. the reason they pay so well is that they cant keep any staff. 7 people left my campaign on one day because it was so awful. you'll thank me later

Pros

Potential to make good work colleagues. Good balance between work and break/lunch times. Trainers were very nice and helped out where they could.

Cons

Not a good work environment - broken equipment, rubbish systems: slow and unreliable. Supervisors are bullies - seen first hand other employees getting bullied by senior staff: embarrassing individuals in front of other employees if not on track with sales, shouting at employees if not on track. Supervisors are only out for themselves - they claim to be forceful for you the employee, but they are only out for their bonuses and if they get angry, it's because you're not hitting target to ensure they get their bonuses. Was kept behind after 8pm (which is stated in the contract when working hours are until) because target was not hit, so another reason why management are only out for themselves. Management float about not having a care in the world - always talking amongst themselves and overhearing who they're wanting to let go. Do not treat customers with respect - if someone is dying, they see it as an opportunity to sell a product and expect employees to put on an act that they have a concrete backbone. Management and finance do not reply to emails - been chasing up money from the time I spent slaving away within the company and have not received a penny: seeking Citizens Advice. You MUST follow the script provided - even though I was given about 4 different takes on one script, so which do you follow?

Pros

It's a laugh and the staff do have banter and are easy to get on with. Food at desk is allowed.

Cons

Certain staff seem to have bipolar or something. Team leaders threaten you and are bullies. The manager of the business sits in the centre of the room like hes a big shot or something and he always questions you when you ever are off poorly like you're lying or something. Oh and the audits....one word out of place and it's a zero percent fail and disciplinary action. Dont pay you when you leave. And also dont pay into your pension so where is that money going? Dodgy business.
