Pros

I've seen some negative reviews here, and all I can say is you get out of this job experience what you put into it. Our "startup" style environment is definitely not for everyone, but offers tremendous opportunity for growth. - Top-notch training is provided so you can hit the ground running - Friendly work environment - Gain experience working with the latest eCommerce technologies - Company promotes education and advancement - would you believe one of our account managers evolved to a software developer? - Free catered Friday lunches

Cons

Honestly, if you come to work and do your job you will be rewarded. Management has an "open door" policy and is always willing to listen. I guess the only "con" I can really say here is that this is not your typical "9-5" job - and some people simply can't handle that. We work hard, but we play hard too and are well rewarded for our efforts.

Pros

The atmosphere in the company is warm and welcoming.

Cons

The project has a lot of legacy code, and a lot of the times you will be just debugging stuff

Pros

Honestly, the people are what convinced me to work here. I've worked in marketing for a while, but I didn't know the first thing about ecommerce or inventory management software...so taking a gig marketing for an ecommerce software company was something about which I was a little wary. The more time I spent in the office, though, the more quickly I was convinced. My first month was supposed to be part-time while I phased out my freelancing work, but I went full-time after a week. The company culture is relaxed and friendly, but the office is still fast-paced and fun. There are also a lot of great restaurants around, Venice is just a couple of miles away...the atmosphere around the office is really nice. Oh, and we've got a ping-pong table. Everybody that works here is friends. We get free lunch (Thai or Indian) every Friday, we have a little latte robot, and once a month we get to take a half day and hit the beach as a group. The people here are intelligent, driven, and friendly. It's really a rad place to work.

Cons

The office is pretty fast-paced, which can be problematic for some people. Self-direction is valued, and that can definitely be tough for some workers. There's really not a lot of micromanagement. For a lot of workers, that's a great thing, but for those that require constant direction, that can be tough. Otherwise, the biggest con is the fact that Washington and Lincoln is ALWAYS a traffic nightmare.
