Cons

Contractual Nature of Work: Job Security: As a contract worker, your job security can be less stable compared to a traditional full-time position. Contract renewals and extensions can be uncertain. Benefits Variation: Depending on your specific contract, benefits like health insurance may vary and might not be as comprehensive as those offered by traditional employers. Lack of Direct Employer Relationship: Limited Influence: As a contractor, you may have less direct influence on workplace decisions and policies compared to a direct employee. Reduced Job Security: In some cases, contract positions can be more vulnerable to budget cuts or changes in staffing needs. Travel and Relocation: Disruption to Personal Life: Travel assignments can disrupt your personal life, especially if you have family or other commitments. Additional Expenses: Travel and relocation expenses can be significant, and while Soliant often provides stipends, they may not fully cover all costs. Communication Challenges: Delayed Responses: Sometimes, communication with your recruiter or the assigned facility can be slow or delayed, which can lead to confusion and frustration. Miscommunication: Misunderstandings can occur, especially when dealing with multiple parties involved in the placement process.

Pros

Met some good friends and bonded over shared trauma

Cons

The salary is a misery, there are absolutely no incentives starting at 2% commission - for about a year, commission per month will be about $100 at the very best and yet they lie about first year OTE being about $15k. You’re also encouraged and expected to work over 40 hours a week even though there’s absolutely no incentives to do so and berated when you work what you should: The company has insanely high attrition and turnover rates. The majority of the company is under a year and actively trying to leave. One of their biggest problem is management; the majority of managers should not be in their positions. There’s a toxic culture of pettiness and arrogance. Do not expect to grow professionally at all-I was doing the exact same job as a manager who had been there for almost 10 years. Do not expect to feel supported or heard by any of the higher ups-they actively implements an alarming amount of changes without asking AEs first and then, when they don’t work, they make even more changes. Overall, if you can avoid working at this company, you should. It is a horrible place that preys on new graduates that have limited opportunities.
