Pros

Growing company and the ability to make your own hours and make bonus.

Cons

More often than not their is no work yet you are expected to maintain a quota. Management is aware but they expect you to shift your schedule to meet unrealistic demands. You will find your self working passed mid night daily just to have a chance of maintain that quota. Zero work to life balance. As a PV designer you are expected to be the first one in and the last one out. High stress career as you will be accountable for everything that's wrong with the design even if you had nothing to do with it. Expect to have angry sales reps. calling you around the clock demanding to know why you made the design the way you did. Capped overtime as well, everyone has to work for free basically after you run out of hours to maintain quota. Recruiters sell you the dream of making a ton of money through the bonus program without telling you the fine print so to speak. Low base pay and a bonus system that is set up for you to fail. If you are willing to work 7 days a week putting in 14+ hour days then you have a chance at making it here. My advise, STAY AWAY from this position!

Pros

Just to quantify my review a bit, I am within the top 10% of inside sales reps within our 12,000 person company. It is a great place to work and people doing well ARE able to make good money here. The executive team ALWAYS has a platform for reps to help make SolarCity a better place every quarter. They involve the top 20 reps each quarter in various ways to help their peers through an interactive group called Team Elite. Executives, VP's, Directors, and Managers are always willing to help and go to bat when there are issues with things that need to be fixed. The direction of the company is consistent and although the company is large, decision makers work as hard as possible to steer the big ship quickly when necessary.

Cons

Knee jerk reactions with decision making at a director level create issues from time to time. Culture has had its ups and downs due to HUGE growth last year and subsequent high attrition rates.
