No work-life balance, politics heck - hole - Manager Sodexo Employee Review

Pros

Nice perks depending on the client

Cons

Work-life balance is nonexistent here. Management routinely imposes excessive overtime, demanding employees be perpetually "adaptable, flexible, and competitive." Rest days are often sacrificed to meet unrealistic deadlines driven by poor planning and insufficient resources. Promotions are largely determined by nepotism, favoritism, and appearance rather than merit. Professional growth opportunities are scarce. Do you have a pretty face? If yes, you'll love it here and the Indian bosses would love you too. Looking for professional growth? Better look somewhere else.

Pros

My direct coworkers and other onsite employees are amazing and some of the nicest and most welcoming people I’ve ever met. The day to day responsibilities are enjoyable to work on most days. Company phone provided for work communications during work hours (you don’t have to take them home with you) Free meals on shifts worked (with restrictions) “Set schedule”

Cons

Work life balance is not great. You hire on for one position or schedule and then end up being required to perform job duties that are outside of your description on top of your daily responsibilities. Wages are really low. Unfair distribution of allotted overtime hours. Benefits are not good either. Insurance is really expensive for not great coverage. Maternity leave is only 6 weeks and only 60% of your pay covered by short term disability (that you pay for out of pocket until 2 years of service)
