Pros

Depending on your area, the pay is excellent. If you're on the west or east coast, it's sub-par. Variety of insurance plans to choose from but they're fairly expensive. Generous annual and sick leave offered. Somewhat flexible work schedule.

Cons

I've been with the agency 20 years. It was always a high demand, high workload job but it's out of control now. You're expected to answer phones 3 days a week or work the reception counter, while none of the work you were hired to do is reduced. Then your performance rating drops because there is no way to humanly keep up with the demands. Every function is a priority workload and watched by the higher ups, with total ignorance to the fact that when you pull people off their duties for 60% of their work week, 60% of their primary workload isn't getting done. Meanwhile management sits in their ivory towers and watches Rome burn. They wouldn't dare lift a finger to help. On the rare occasions we get to hire, they pump us up to recommend friends or family. No way am I sending people I care about to this den of hell. I'm counting down the days until I can get out. If you haven't had anxiety, depression, panic attacks, extreme weight loss/gain, insomnia and just general unhappiness you certainly will after working here. I used to love my job, now I sit in my car and cry before I walk through the door.
