Pros
- Excellent co-workers, everyone who works middle-management or lower are great humans who care about each other. Many of the managers will fight for their team.
- Cool product and culture, lots of perks from working at a business that owns a luxury campground and restaurant.
- Lots of opportunity to learn new skills, internal promotion is big here and it's easy to move up.
Cons
- Management constantly bends the knee to the demands of Snow Peak Japan, and the Japanese management doesn't understand the U.S. market or business needs.
- Can be difficult to get the support you need from other teams. Teams can be very siloed and communication isn't always the best.
- Many employees are asked to do work outside their title or job description, often there is no adjustment in compensation.
- Turnover and burnout has been high the past few years as the business has struggled to find it's balance.
