Pros
The company offers free lunch and coffee, and the pay is competitive. The office has a vibrant, social network-inspired atmosphere. The mid-level staff are diligent and friendly, with a good mix of younger and older employees.
Cons
I was warned before joining Snap that the company treats its staff poorly, but I accepted an offer anyway. I should have listened to them. Management is disorganized and lacks clear direction. There's no proper onboarding process, and while there are plenty of spreadsheets, overall, the organization is organized. The company's security measures are overly restrictive. Management often sends Slack messages at all hours, disrupting work-life balance. Additionally, there is a strong sense of nepotism and backdoor deals, with many employees and vendors appearing to be friends of existing staff.
