Pros
I want to say there is at least one good thing about smokercraft, and it's their chosen 401k provider (Fidelity Investments) that allows to pull hardship loans.
Cons
1. Cut production hours for the last TWO YEARS, to 4 days a week, 32 hours, cut production number so parts bonus is next to nill.
2. Zero inclusion of the working class employees for how things run or what is happening.
3. The people who have nothing to do with making boats, make ALL of the decisions concerning boat production.
4. Taking away the point of efficency pay (Finished in 6 hours? Paid for 8) by forcing the fast worker to go and fill in other positions.
5. Zero, and I mean ZERO communication to employees. A one day notice that we're taking two weeks off, UNPAID. Like, who is making these decisions for us to have 16 weeks off, unpaid since January? Not counting the 14 last year.
6. No chance to transfer or get a promotion, unless you're family or really good at "sucking".
