Ok - Class A Truck Driver Smith Transport Employee Review

Large carrier that operates like a small one. Family.

Great company for the most part. Great equipment, impressive systems in place (fuel, maintenance, dispatch, etc.) They are merged with Heartland Express, so they have many terminals...with laundry, showers, parking, etc. Driving managers were truck drivers. They have a open door policy for real. They are big on safety + +. They have a great benefits system and they are the highest amount of pain by employer life insurance I've come across.

Not all driver managers have been truck drivers and it shows painfully. Some driver managers are very unprofessional, not many...however they will change you to a new one. You have to hussle to make a really good pay. They changed the pet policy while I was on leave and I could not return. OTHERWISE I WOULD STILL BE THERE!!!! 😢
