Pros
Job security. Something different every day.
Cons
No Raises. Ever. They will give you a promotion, but call it a "lateral move". Then you will have more responsibilities - basically the responsibilities that you would get with a promotion, except without the raise and without the title. Plenty of pats on the back for a job well done. They will blame their superiors for not giving the raise after it was promised to you. After doing the math, comparing your salary vs. hours put in, you'd be better off with an hourly job elsewhere. Huge discounts commonly given to complaining customers to hush them. Local employees are the front line between the customer and the company. The employees take the brunt of the customers wrath (customers are DUI offenders, needing a breathalyzer installed to get their license back). Employees are simply not compensated fairly for their efforts.
