Pros

The recruiters make good money…IF there are searches coming in. They have gone downhill since the President left a few years ago.

Cons

For an executive recruiting company that is supposed to be an expert in hiring, they can’t seem to hire anyone that can bring in searches. They promote people who have been there for a long time rather than hiring qualified talent. They have a bogus COO who really just puts out fires with troubled searches and runs incredibly awkward team meetings. While recruiters do have an opportunity to make good money, they pay research assistants and data team members minimum wage, it’s a sin. People are leaving because they continually have to refill searches and don’t make any money.

Pros

The tenure across the company says a lot. People stay because they enjoy the environment and the work. You also get exposure to high-level roles in life sciences and healthcare, which makes the work feel meaningful and impactful. Leadership is not only approachable across the board but truly thoughtful and supportive. They take the time to listen, value input, and create an environment where people feel trusted and respected. It is clear they care about the team as individuals, not just as employees, which makes a big difference in the day-to-day experience.

Cons

No cons from me or else I would not still be here after 8 years ! It says a lot when our average tenure is currently 10 years and counting.

Pros

Slone has been my professional home for the past 13 years. Like any organization, there have been both challenges and successes along the way. What has kept me grounded and committed through it all is the people. The individuals at Slone truly make a difference not only in the lives of our clients and candidates, but also in each other’s. In all my years of work experience, I have never encountered a group more dedicated, compassionate, and driven to make a meaningful impact.

Cons

One of Slone’s greatest strengths can also be it's weakness. The deep compassion of its people means they care immensely and consistently give their time, energy, and heart to their work, sometimes to the point of overextending themselves because of their strong commitment to the company and its mission.
