Pros
Some good human beings work here.
Cons
As other reviews have mentioned, the CEO is the issue. It starts with subpar pay and no benefits. The CEO doesn’t believe in western medicine, so there is no healthcare. No bonus, no 401k, no maternity leave and in most instances, folks are hired as 1099 contractors (working 40+ hours a week) to bypass the company having to pay taxes. The CEO’s pitch is that he is looking for people who are hungry to learn and are interested in less pay and more mentorship and education. He has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on coaching and will share that with you. What you’ll get is a CEO that is more like a real-life Pinterest board of motivational quotes, than a seasoned executive. A total gimmick. He unfortunately has no idea how to apply any of his teachings. This self-proclaimed “visionary” excels at providing disorganized thoughts and ideas. He is impulsive and will make business decisions without thinking through the risks, time, effort, budget, or resources needed. When it comes to managing people or process, he has no experience or desire. He is a poor communicator that has extreme difficulty sharing expectations. Good luck trying to get goals, milestones, deadlines, or feedback. It will be ambiguous at best. His enormous ego and low EQ creates major frustration amongst the team that leads to a revolving door for any position working with or near the CEO. From a business standpoint, this company has not grown revenue in 10+ years because of Calvin’s incompetence. He can’t get out of his own way. Trust me, it’s not worth your time or effort. You don’t want to work here.
