Pros
The place used to hold considerable technical expertise. The products combine the technical thrill of 3D games and the pride in contributing to better medicine. Atmosphere among colleagues is usually very good. The company is pretty much the world leader at its niche.
Cons
The company is ~15Y old, and still manages like a fledgling startup. There is zero in-house knowledge about project management, product management or management at all for that matter. I've never seen a project that was actually planned. I've never seen risk managed. I've never seen any effort dedicated to serious time/cost estimates. Impossible deadlines are knowingly set, and the overall culture is of a constant crunch. Not a single PM has any product (or other) management experience. Main hiring criterion used to be cheap salaries, and so technical depth has all but faded completely - but I hear that may have changed for the better.
