Where to start? When I first joined the company, they preached how the company was a family and initially they were very supportive. Then there were some changes in leadership and the culture changed dramatically. Everyone in management is two-faced. My immediate supervisors always told me what a great job I did and they knew that they could always count on me to get the job done. I was even nominated for a Gold Star award where my work ethic was praised and the CEO told me I was a valued employee. Months later the same supervisors, who didn't provide any projects for me to work on while our system was down for months, questioned my work ethic. I pointed out how I had worked through cancer and while my wife was in the hospital because I always did whatever it took to get the job done. The supervisors accused me of "playing the cancer card" which is absurd because if I was doing that it wouldn’t have worked through the medically difficult times my wife and I have had over the last few years.
I brought my concerns to HR who supposedly did an investigation. HR told me that the managers had been admonished for their behavior and that they were going to write apology letters, which I never received. No doubt Silotech’s legal team advised against it.
After this incident, I was moved to another project where I was sexually harassed by one of the managers. Again, I went to HR with my concerns which fell on deaf ears. HR claimed to have spoken to the manager and advised them that are certain things that shouldn’t be said at work but that was the end of it. Shortly thereafter, I was terminated for supposedly filling out my timecard incorrectly even though I had filled out my timecard the same way for 2 ½ years at the behest of my supervisors.
Don’t waste your time on this company. They will use you, lie to you, and dump you when it is convenient for them. In the interim, they will have you training your replacements.
