The higher leadership is disengaged and lacks professionalism, allowing a toxic culture to spread throughout the workplace. Gossip and favoritism are common, and the environment is anything but supportive. There are ongoing problems with disrespect, especially toward women, and no real accountability from management. Even more concerning, employees often seem indifferent to members’ needs—something that completely goes against the mission of a credit union.
