Pros

Not many that I can think of apart from the team.

Cons

Repeated Strategic Failures -Leadership continues to make the same mistakes year after year, without learning from past missteps or listening to staff who understand the operational reality. Ignoring Staff Voice – Employees have long raised concerns about being overwhelmed and undervalued, but feedback is disregarded in favor of creating roles that may look attractive externally yet serve no logical or practical purpose. Unprofessional HR Conduct – The HR lead openly makes personal jokes and inappropriate comments about employees’ appearance, mannerisms, and communication style, which is unprofessional and undermines trust. Retaliation Culture – Staff who raise issues or trust HR to address them often find themselves penalized rather than supported, fostering fear and disengagement. Empty Feedback Mechanisms – NPS surveys and performance reviews repeatedly ask the same questions, but the feedback is never acted upon, making these exercises feel performative rather than meaningful. Impact Morale is low, trust in leadership is eroded, and talented staff are left feeling overwhelmed, undervalued, underpaid and unheard. Strategic misalignment continues to harm the company’s effectiveness and reputation.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. While we’re sorry to hear you feel this way, we disagree with several of the points raised in your review. Moreover, it saddens us to read the words you use to describe our culture and our people teams, as they do not reflect the experience of the majority of colleagues at Signal AI. We want to be clear that unprofessional behaviour, retaliation, or inappropriate conduct have no place at Signal AI. We take such claims seriously, and we have seen no evidence of the behaviours described. Our People and leadership teams work hard to foster a respectful and supportive environment, and we encourage anyone with concerns to raise them through the appropriate internal channels so they can be investigated and addressed properly. At the same time, we recognise that feedback about workload, communication, and decision-making is important. We’ve made progress in recent years by strengthening our people strategy, rolling out leadership development initiatives, and enhancing how we listen to and act on employee feedback. We are proud of the talent, growth, and culture we’re building, while knowing there is always more we can do. We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts, and we remain committed to making Signal AI a place where people can thrive, contribute, and feel valued.

Pros

I’ve been with Signal AI for several years now, and the standout feature is undoubtedly the quality of the people. From the CEO and leadership team to the individual contributors, there is a genuine sense of care for one another and a shared drive for the company’s success. It is easily the most inclusive environment I’ve ever worked in. A few other highlights: Product Heritage: Unlike companies just now jumping on the AI "bandwagon," AI is in Signal’s DNA. Having been around for 10+ years, the tech is mature and provides legitimate, measurable value to CCOs. Strategic Growth: There is massive excitement around the new Risk proposition. It’s a huge market pivot that is already opening doors to new opportunities. Autonomy: As a manager, I have a great deal of autonomy to lead my team, but I always know that support is available from leadership if I need to escalate a challenge. Momentum: The recent fundraise with Battery Ventures is a huge vote of confidence. Being part of a portfolio with such a reputable firm brings a lot of stability and expertise to our next phase of growth. Pace: The company moves fast. It’s refreshing to work in an environment that prioritizes innovation over slow, "political" decision-making.

Cons

Like any high-growth scale-up, we’ve had some growing pains-although nothing too major. Internal communication has had a few bumps in the past; historically, the company practiced extreme transparency (sharing almost too much!), which made any shift in communication style feel like a bigger deal than it was. However, it feels like we’ve found the right rhythm lately as the business matures.

Pros

the people are mostly great and the product / reporting offerings are great in many ways. it's clear that many of our clients value us enough to work through the bumps in the road. it could be a great company—the potential is very much there if leadership can get it together. some of the kindest and most genuine people I've met in a corporate environment who i hope will be lifelong friends. i feel i am paid well and i'm happy with the benefits david b is excellent. he's smart, kind, and clearly very passionate about his company.

Cons

onboarding was non-existent, basically had to learn everything from my peers. tribal knowledge reigns supreme and not many processes are written down / the wiki is often very out of date. not great for consistency. no formal process to make sure you're prepared to sell the product / services. some upper leadership are pretty awful...sexist, misogynist and downright rude. doesn't seem like any of their peers call them out on it so it goes unchecked. pretty messy vision for the company at times. it seems to change direction frequently with not much comms or enablement. seems it keeps trying to find its niche where it can be a true market leader. hopefully they pick something soon and finally stick with it. risk seems kind of promising? morale can be pretty bad due to a culture of overworking, which comes from the top unfortunately. leaders need to set a better example of boundaries, particularly after hours and while on vacation.

Thanks for taking the time to write this. It’s not easy to share that kind of feedback, but it’s exactly the type that helps us get better. A lot of what you mentioned (onboarding gaps, shifting direction, unchecked behaviour, and burnout) has come up in other feedback too, and we’ve already started building actions directly off the back of it. We’re working on improving onboarding and documentation, tightening and sticking to a clearer strategy, addressing behaviour when it crosses the line, and setting better examples around workload and boundaries. We know there’s still work to do, but we’re committed to making Signal AI a place where people can thrive, feel supported, and do their best work. Feedback like yours helps us focus on the right priorities and keep improving every day.
