Pros
Good mission Unions are great Flexibility Pay is decent for a nonprofit Smart passionate coworkers
Cons
Woof. This used to be a great place to work. Culture, benefits, mission was amazing. It has literally imploded in the past two years. I genuinely can’t tell you what accomplishments towards the mission the org has made recently. The entire C level team has turned over in the past year. Every single one. And there’s no leadership currently. Everyone spends their time navigating internal politics. The constituency skews much older so money will continue to be an issue — the org has been in a multi million dollar debt since 2020 Fundraising department resistant to try new things. Turnover has been crazy crazy and every department is understaffed which means folks are taking on more work for no pay.
