Underpaid and Undervalued - Assistant Store Manager ShopFuego Employee Review

The environment is fun and laid back. I have yet to encounter an angry customer while working here. All my co-workers are kind and funny, as are the customers. Very open to your personal style. Vibrant hair colors, piercings, and tattoos are welcomed! Employee discount is a pretty sweet deal, especially when you love a lot of the product.

Not very high paying, but relatively decent considering the size of the company. Benefits (medical, vacation, etc) only available to full-time employees. Only two full time positions in the store.

I worked for fuego as a key for over 2 years. Some of my coworkers become some of my best friends outside of work, flexible schedule, laid back work environment.

You are severely underpaid. Any position above a sales associate is extremely underpaid. Obviously sales make minimum but what supervisors and management made was trash. There was a lot of gossip within the company and no appreciation shown to the employees for working so hard. Also, don’t expect a raise no matter how well you do on your yearly review. You could get an amazing review and get a .05cent raise. The company is trash lol
