Pros
- Really great engineer colleagues to learn from - Relatively modern tech stack - Hybrid 3 day in office (was loosely enforced before but now being more enforced) - Seems they might IPO soon
Cons
- Culture and morale in the engineering teams was good until last year but going downhill fast - Workload has significantly increased in many teams since the layoffs - Work is very fast paced resulting in turnover of some really great engineers - CTO rather authoritarian and pushes teams with massive efforts under unrealistic deadlines, resulting in a lot of overtime - Engineering leadership seems to have no idea how long it takes to build things, always asking the engineers to get stuff done faster - Company is under heavy stress to cut costs, resulting in lower benefits, no backfilling of people leaving, no pantry snacks, etc - Product deadlines are mostly artificial and usually way unrealistic - Very bad stock 3 year vesting schedule (worse than Amazon's) - No stock refreshers until after first 3 years - Office location is terrible, don't know why they chose this place
