At first, my experience was great; I loved it! I didn't believe these reviews until the honeymoon stage ended and I saw the company for what it really was.
- Management is hypocritical- they don't follow their own company values including honesty or direct communication. I left the office crying one day because management could not be straight with me regarding my future there. Very frustrating.
- OVERWHELMING amount of work... management doesn't care if you're a full-time student even if you express your concerns. I had a set work schedule but I was expected to work outside of the office practically every day including weekends.
- I don't think any of the staff are bad people but they are not courteous coworkers or qualified management.
- Office is dead quiet and awkward set up where the CEO can look watch you over your shoulder.
- You are your numbers, stats and paycheck. Management ONLY cares about costs and they are cheap. They use being a "small company" as an excuse but the CEO is obviously making a ton of money. They would rather fire and rehire dozens of employees instead of investing in the training of a current employee with so much potential. There's a reason why their full-time staff is so few but there are many interns (half the company is full-time staff and the other half is interns).
- They treat interns like they have 10 years of experience and all the answers. It's good that interns are respected like full-time staff but management needs to remember that this is their LEARNING experience. Sometimes they need your help but that doesn't mean they are incapable of doing the job.
- Interns are asked to take on practically impossible tasks because they do not have qualified experience. I was asked to take on a task that management couldn't even figure out. Basically, sets you up for failure.
- By the way, most of these positive reviews are by current employees that management asked them to write. The staff is small, they know who wrote them. It was an awkward thing to ask and I didn't feel comfortable writing an honest review while I was still working there (hence why the 5 star reviews are oddly enthusiastic and sound fake). It's months later and I still feel uneasy. After I graduated, I didn't apply for any corporate jobs because I was terrified to feel like this again.
