Pros

The mindset here is unlike anywhere else. Everyone is wildly talented and comes to work every day like it might be the day we change the world.

Cons

A good amount of ambiguity, for better or worse

Pros

I relocated to Budapest for this role and it’s been easily one of my smartest life choices. The office has a great energy and the people here are impressively sharp but low ego, always keeping you challenged and on your toes- in the best way. It’s a collaborative, in-person culture where you enjoy being around your colleagues and solving problems in real life. The work itself is interesting, I am always being stretched and have been able to grow what feels 3x faster than other places I have worked. To top it off, we are building something that will genuinely impact the world and that feels so exciting to be a part of.

Cons

Not a con but something important to mention. Shapr is a high-performance environment, it is a really fun place to work but one where you really want to do your best work. You have to be comfortable being driven by the people around you and keeping up with a fast pace.

Pros

My first weeks have been very smooth. Everything was very well-prepared for my arrival, which made the start feel structured and welcoming. The onboarding process was thorough and information-dense, but still manageable. I’ve always felt supported - everyone is open to questions, quick to help, and I’ve never once felt like I was a burden for asking. The team is genuinely welcoming. As for the work itself, expectations and standards are high, but realistic. People are professional, dedicated, and take pride in what they do, which makes collaboration natural and easy. After just a few weeks, these are my main impressions so far.

Cons

It’s too early for me to comment on this part. The only thing I was a tad bit concerned about is the office first approach, if it will become tiring. That said, so far it actually feels beneficial - it helps me get into rhythm, stay focused, and sync up with the team more easily.
