Pros
Seyfarth will prepare you for your career in the legal field although it comes at a cost.
Cons
Working at Seyfarth has shown me the harsher side of the legal field. A field that should be working towards inclusivity. During my time at Seyfarth I worked in the immigration department as a paralegal. The expectation is perfection and yet those same standards are not applied to the attorneys. It is a very one sided environment and as a paralegal you will ultimately be blamed for anything that goes wrong. I have seen my colleagues be abused by attorneys at Seyfarth and witnessed HR ignore the calls for action and attention to professionalism in favor of their higher ups. Every “feedback” meeting you have will be filled with insults and in return you are suppose to respond respectfully because otherwise the attorneys will counteract and make your job more difficult. The work is easy but know that it is extremely difficult to work in an environment where the culture of positivity and being a team player is diminished.
