Pros
- Employee agency in remote, hybrid or office working - Caring and attentive management and team leaders - Strong mission and genuine company culture. Managers/Leads are personable, understanding, helpful and very qualified. - One of the rare workplaces where you can say "culture" is actually followed through in a beneficial way to average employees, not just as an empty buzzword. - Honestly there is a lot to like about working here. I am sad i can't anymore
Cons
- UX and Design processes are still evolving - Team structure beyond the immediate reports/management gets confusing and is "reorganised" regularly - Public sector wages are ok, but behind the curve - State politics means projects can come in fits and spurts, or be promised to happen but never materialise. - External departments don't always understand how SV works or their purpose. Can result in attached project teams being treated as hired help consultants rather than equal partners with authority in the project and can cause issues with expectations.
