      Pros

      The pay is solid when compared to the general transportation industry as a whole when benefits are accounted for.

      Cons

      Organizational decisionmaking does not always make solid sense and critical decisions are often made without input from various levels of labor and management. I guess that's common everywhere you go, though.

      If you come in as entry level engineer the only way to move from entry level to higher level position is to wait the prescribed number of years, which is 2.5 years, even if you came in with experience
