Pros

Some team members become like family. It's the only thing good about Sephora. Period.

Cons

*pay *management Management SUCKS!!! There is a lot of favoritism, they like to pick and choose who gets in trouble, who gets written up, who gets promoted, who gets fired. They're not fair at all. They state they are an equal opportunity employer who trains and helps people move up in the company, that's bullcrap. When I started with Sephora I was thrown into my position. Thank God I had a background on what I was doing and was able to do what I had to do. Company policies are not explained clear enough, they give you a book to read one time when you first start and expect you to remember it years later but they never do any formal training on anything. The store I worked for is the worst Sephora in toronto even though it is supposed to be the number 1 Sephora in toronto. Its so dirty, anyone will tell you this. The team members are two faced, conniving, back-stabbing children. Do not apply to this place if you're older than 30 because you won't want to deal with the immaturity that goes on daily. Their turnover rate is ridiculous because they like to pick and choose who to build. People will be with the company for years and try to apply for FSC positions or lead/specialist positions and not get it over people who have just come into the company. I'll never recommend anybody to work for this company and I'll never shop at this company again. I should have listened to the reviews that I read and videos I watched on YouTube before working for them. Every single one of them was correct. This company is a hellhole to work for.

Pros

Friendly, knowledgeable, supportive coworkers. Management is generally pretty good. You get to work with all the fun products and learn directly from brand reps. And the customers are there to learn about the products - and you get to talk to them about the best products. If you're excited about Sephora, go apply!

Cons

Hours vary based on the time of the year.
