This company has gone severely downhill in the past 6 months or so. I’m worried about its future honestly. First off, they require you to make sales plans for your top customers. Not a bad thing but it’s nothing more than a scavenger hunt through Salesforce and input into a Google Sheet. You don’t update the high power CRM, as you are supposed to update the Sheet that is on a shared drive. Tedious and greatly ineffective. You are paid based off your book of business whether you sell them anything or not. If you have a good book buying on their own, you will make some money. If you are reliant on selling through Zoom meetings, you must be aggressive or else you will fall short of targets. Most will upgrade on their own through the web so thankfully it counts towards your target. The sales cycles can take time so your meetings need to set up future business. If they aren’t buying on their own you won’t have a cushion and hitting target to make money will be difficult. They recently raised their prices on their oldest clients, assuring us we would be paid on the increase. Halfway through the month they took it out of commissions, dropping many people in commissions tiers paying them less. Since the stock isn’t doing well, it’s a great way to free up cash and lower expenses, make things not commissionable randomly. New customers are paid out so little they are often not given the attention needed because, while a new customer is great, they pay out significantly less that it isn’t worth the time. They raise sales goals after a month starts as well. Managers are often worthless unless you are an ambassador for them, then you will always have a job. If not, be prepared for some favoritism and unfair practices. Change happens and it’s an understatement. Many times something will change and people will be reluctant to change knowing it will be forgotten or not focused on the following week. When asked about negative reviews, the CEO said “everyone in the industry has these. They are from people that are unhappy. Happy people don’t leave reviews”, yet a year ago they are many glowing reviews. The sales side is extremely shady in their practices, coincidentally with falling stock prices. I bet the next earnings report will show record cost savings and increased paying customers on the backs of not paying their employees correctly.
