Pros

Coworkers at the Burlington site are highly approachable and easy to get along with. Great place to start practicing your French accent too! Sefas' office is located next to the Burlington Mall and Lahey Hospital, and close to several major routes, so commuting is easy. If you like working on printing solutions, then this is a good place to latch onto. Most of the product utilizes Python language and you will learn about every possible printing concept in the market.

Cons

The company is teetering. Working in sales here will constitute of you getting shellacked, belittled, and isolated into a professional development corner. Sefas’ sales teams have high turnover and are the proverbial scapegoats. The previous members were recently let go--even though they received zero training in the technology. If they pursue a marketing coordinator in the future, I would advise you to steer clear (the former marketing manager was stymied in all activities and left quickly). You will most likely work under a power hungry tyrant that seeks to impose hismastery of printing technology and make you feel inferior to him. Do not be swayed by his coercive pitches, because they will end up being long and drawn-out lies, especially about your role in the organization. This is an individual who is tainting the entire organization and bringing the company to a complete standstill. His affinity for micromanaging his staff is sickening. His inability to dispense meaningful work is as worse as his compulsive need to comment on every drop of ink that comes across his desk. From a software engineering side, the work is split out so that you will not get a full understanding of the product, so finding applicable industry work is marginal.

Pros

I am speaking for the software developer portion of the company as that is where my job is at. So other parts of the company I cant speak on in depth personally. Good team. The lead is a good boss. The team is a good team focused on work but has social events for those interested, meaning social events are not mandatory, you can just listen / lurk as well. Very accomodating of circumstances. Such as I had to travel half way across the world to visit the grave of a recently deceased grandparent and I got time off for it. Very helpful in teaching how things are done. Respectful and professional in how they deal with one another. Boss's boss is also a good person. Keeps people updated on situation of company. Such as building confidence in future work and companies future / current revenue streams. For now the company is doing well. Hope it lasts through upcoming recession. But if not it is understandable. I did look at previous glassdoor reviews before signing on to the company. There was a review for something about French superiority? At the very least I can guarantee that in the software jobs side of things there is no such thing. And I don't see any case of it company wide. Though I will say by the nature of the company most/all of the decision makers will be from France which is completely normal and understandable. Its a French company's subsidiary that has been around for a while. Ending of review Although I do get why glassdoor keeps reviews anonymous. The info i am giving is pretty easy to identify me with and hard to give without being specific. My name is muhammad salman. Also just being honest here: I dont like lying or hiding. If the company was bad then I would have not have made a review until I had left. Instead I would have tried to work negative issues out from within. Glad there are none to speak of. Motivation for making this review: I wanted to see salaries to see what next few years would be like. But glassdoor requires review or salary. So I chose review. Now that I think about it salary would've been the quicker of the two .... Whelp atleast I hope this helps someone out. Ah also if you like mail/postal industry you'll like this job.

Cons

Not really any cons. If any my job is a remote one so the general pros and cons of that for people who like or dont like remote. Not a con for me but for some others it could be? The product is a company specific one and there is a lot of custom python tooling surrounding it. So to be effective you have to learn those. So expect to be learning about it. It isnt a tool you could've learned before applying. Training procedure could be streamlined? Its good but that avg of new developers taking 6 months to be productive hits pretty true at the moment or perhaps it only feels that way from my perspective. Cons for myself as a reviewer. This is my first full time job in the industry. I have had a part time one before. This review is written in text so please be charitable in your interpretation of its tone. Tone is meant to be respectfully informing. Though there are a few asides of my realization.
