Pros

Science and data driven with very little of the bureaucracy that infests larger biotechs. Your work has real impact, the team is first class and the potential impact is massive.

Cons

Like all startups there’s no where to hide, never enough time and rapid changes in priorities. It’s a con but it’s also where you grow the most.

Pros

- The science and technology behind the product is genuinely interesting - Some good people at the individual contributor level

Cons

- Quarterly layoffs have become a pattern — do your research before accepting an offer here. - Read the public news — the CEO has collected millions in compensation and equity while the stock has declined nearly 97% since IPO and employees lose their jobs every quarter. - Leadership pipelines are broken. People are placed in director and management roles without the emotional intelligence or communication skills to lead effectively. - Expects optimal field performance with a product that has significant out-of-box issues, then points the finger at employees when things go wrong. - Individuals are sent out with software full of bugs, Error-ridden manuals they've never seen before, and instruments that have barely been validated internally — then held to a standard of perfect customer performance. The gap between what they give you and what they expect from you is staggering. - Management will document grievances about you to HR without ever having a direct conversation about what needs to change — all while praising your performance to your face. - Active shareholder lawsuit against the board. Profitability not expected until 2031. Draw your own conclusions. Seriously. - Highly, HIGHLY recommend exploring other platforms before committing.
