Headed into most difficult time as a company. Company is going through the same thing many start-ups are. 'Grow at all costs' is becoming 'must become profitable asap'. Recent economic headwinds combined with recent difficulties to bring in new business have led to the largest lay-off to date for Seeq, reduction in some benefits, and general uncertainty headed forward.
Typical start-up headaches. Lack of processes in some situations. Many ways to go about doing things. Onboarding/support isn't well developed for all roles, sometimes unclear what to do, who to go to, whose responsibility something is. Coworkers are generally willing to help though.
Not a very strong sense of 'team'. I've worked places where my coworkers felt like a strong, tight-knit family. Seeq is not one of them. In general, there is a fair amount of everyone doing their own thing. I don't think there is a lot of pride in being a Seeq-er, and generally, the culture is not the strongest. That being said, the culture is not toxic or negative in my experience. There's just a lack of belonging and camaraderie. The general vibe of Seeq is a bit serious and at times, lonely.
