Pros

Early-career professionals are given a lot of responsibility, remote work

Cons

Unethical business practices (including lying about capabilities to donors), low salaries for early/mid-career professionals but not for the directors, staff expected to work a lot of overtime, promotions and rewards based on favoritism. Ask about the Hunger Games - leadership asked staff to VOTE for who would remain and who would be laid off. Very dystopian, left many former staff with PTSD. Just one example of the terrible culture. There used to be a lot more negative Glassdoor reviews but the org has apparently paid to have them removed.

Pros

People at Seefar are some of the most dedicated, smart people I have ever worked with. It is thrilling to work with people who challenge the status quo, who embrace change and improvement, and who are committed to growing their capacity (and that of the organization). Working remotely is also a huge benefit to this job. It allows people the flexibility they need to move around and to adjust their schedule as needed to accommodate life.

Cons

Working remotely means time zone delays so work progresses at a slower pace than I would like, but that is a trade-off I am willing to bear in order to work from anywhere in the world.
