Pros

Co-workers were great to work with. Most were very intelligent, hard-working and eager to lend a hand.

Cons

Company hired workers on the promise of remote work. I worked remotely for 4 years and when the decision was made to make everyone come in person, we were told we could either commute 2-6 hours each way (depending on our current home location), move to Ormond Beach or we would not have a job. It did not matter if you were a high performer, it did not matter how well you did your job. It only mattered that they decided it would improve morale and slow down staff turnover if they forced us all in-person. Jokes on them, more than 60 % of staff counsel has resigned in the last 2 months since their announcement. Raises have dropped dramatically over the last 4 years, with many high-performing staff being denied raises this year, even as the C-Suite execs bragged about having one of their most profitable years ever. People who DID receive raises received 1-2% raises. Management of staff legal was extremely toxic, with management harassing anyone they didn't like, including calling staff's previous employers after they had been working at Security First for years seeking out scuttlebutt and gossip to spread. When concerns were elevated to HR, retaliation was wide-spread and unchecked.

Pros

Welcoming and clean environment. The office is nice and you don't have to be afraid to ask questions. On the smaller side so everyone can make an impact.

Cons

I didn't really experience anything I didn't like while working here

Pros

This company USED to be remote. Colleagues were pretty amazing. Wish I had more to put under this section. Just being honest.

Cons

A lot. Layoffs were announced. Remote work is no longer offered. Either you relocated to Ormond Beach/Orlando OR you were deemed fired. This ruined many lives- people have houses and families. Relocating is NOT an option for many people. Some people live out of state. There is no job security. We were told either you want to work or you don’t. There is nothing stopping this company from firing you AFTER uprooting your entire life to potentially relocate for this shady company. No pay raises or meaningful bonus. Nothing to adjust for inflation. Essentially took a pay decrease since my pay was not adjusted for inflation. Management is corrupt- gaslighting, triangulation, gossiping, and revealing personal information about colleagues. It’s disgusting. Management actively seeks out ways to punish you. Management does things in violation of employment law- asking the purpose for doctor visits. Management will call after hours to gossip and harass. There is the expectation to work after hours. There are unattainable requirements- the work tasks and goals are constantly moving targets. Management looks for ways to knock you on performance reviews in order to deny promotions. For example, you have to rate yourself on various questions on a scale of 1-5. We were told a 5 is unattainable and not realistic. No one gets a 5. But yet, this is how we are judged in our performance reviews, pay increases, and promotions. Make it make sense??? High turnover. Lots of people quit and/or unjustifiably fired. HR will reach out asking you to help provide support for people getting fired. With the high turnover, jobs are NOT being filled. Instead, workloads merely just increase for the remaining employees. But again, NO INCREASED PAY but yet more work? If you don’t stay for approximately 5 years, then your retirement is not fully vested. The company is stealing everyone’s retirement with the announcement of layoffs. Layoffs after the company happily told all the employees during a mandatory conference that the company was making incredible profits. It’s sickening. The grounds crew that maintains the building and the legal department were laid off. People are expected to take on additional roles and continue to absorb more work to keep the company afloat.
