Pros

Great compensation package for full timers. Ability to advance, based on good performance. Luxottica is never stagnant in it's ideas of how to draw in business, even if it takes a bit of trial and error to see what works.

Cons

Utterly exhausting due to payroll restrictions; doing the work of 2 1/2 people constantly. Lack of simplicity in corporate structure and communication. Ie: pages upon pages of FAXes daily; e-mails; iSite memos; voice mails; conference calls; daily, weekly, monthly focus sheets to be filled out, FAXed out and thought through. Ugh! Let me sell and manage my staff!!

Pros

The product selection and pricing were great and easy to sell. The location was easy to keep clean and was right at the entrance so foot traffic kept us busy!

Cons

The leadership didn't care about the people- heavily encouraged to push products on even if the customer really didn't need (or want) it. I was encouraged not to repair glasses, only to encourage full replacement. In my last year, the management left, I worked there by myself and also had to work for the doctor as well. I was promised pay raises and didn't receive them. And was denied time off to go out of state to see my husband in the military. It's clear the leadership didn't care about their employees or customers. It's just a number's game.
