Pros
Scratchpad is a very cool product. It is challenging to align to business value and justify large price points but certainly possible. It is in many cases a “nice to have” but has shown its ability to expand the product offering with additional functionality recently. Perhaps some potential there.
Cons
The culture is the challenge. The CEO lacks trust and experience scaling. At times, this leads to knee jerk reactions and back and forth on decision making. These jagged decisions leave people confused. Trust seemed to be a missing piece but I can’t point blame on who’s fault that is. Compound that with a passionate, infinitely detail oriented, but cold and direct style it is difficult. It didn’t work well for me. Perhaps others can thrive in this environment but I learned a valuable lesson of what I don’t want to be a part of.
This is a serious problem and the folks who have left the company will provide candid feedback on just how intense and challenging things are. For me that was stress and anxiety leading up to certain meetings, or days, or slack messages and that lead to some negative health issues.
