Pros

Nice, luxury interior of the hotel (apart from staff and back areas...) Discount on the cinema tickets. Always jobs going in the hotel so can move departments easily. Left with little supervision as there simply isn't enough people to supervise properly so you can do what you like and slack off. The con to this is when you need help there is no one to ask and when you do ask it's radio silence because team work does not exsist.

Cons

Strange system to try and access payslips/check pay, almost always wrong pay, you get paid for holidays one month then the next month they take it back from your payslip saying you haven't worked enough to get paid for the holiday!?? High turnover of staff so no one knows what they are doing and no one to train anyone new - left to fend for yourself and expected to know everything from the get go. Staff meals they promise you is watery soup and chips. That's it, nothing else. Heating in the hotel is bad so its always cold and guests constanly complaining of this fact. BIG mouse and rat problem. Expect staff to frequent these dirty areas daily and will not do anything about it. If you work reception you are expected to the do the job of 6 roles - concierge, porter, reservations, events, waitress and reception... no clear line as to what your job is. The view is if there is a body there then that's it doesn't matter if you know what you are doing or if you are trained or not. Lots of lazy staff not willing to take responsibility for their job role and so the few good members of management run themselves (and their mental health) into the ground trying to keep the hotel running.

Pros

Average Pay, Quiet Shifts, Hardworking Minimum-Wage Workers

Cons

Management is brutal (i.e. micromanaging, disrespectful, guilt tripping, inconsiderate, talking bad about employees behind back). No real training. Staff (i.e. Housecleaners and KPs) worked to bone and not treated with respect. Do not recommend.
