Leadership cares about the kids and about staff development. Everyone is committed to making things better. Families are supportive of the schools. Salaries ok, benefits great.
Cons
A lot of testing, like everywhere. Charter schools are risky, if the students state test scores don't go up, we all lose our jobs.
Trying new things is second nature at Scholar Academies. The network tries to unify its schools to truly create a brand for education and a universal educational experience. The staff are generally friendly and supportive of one another.
Cons
Change is too frequent. Traction is difficult to observe becasue changes to curriculum, instructional initiatives, and staff happen every 4-6 months.
