Feels like we're at the end of our growth phase, and are now into the squeeze phase. Over-emphasis on efficiency has lead to some changes which don't really make sense -- it feels like two steps backwards with not a single step forward. These decisions feel tone deaf. Additionally, getting new hires approved is difficult. Hiring is reactive and not proactive, leading to management burden. Compensation used to track with the industry, but it hasn't for the last 2 years. We have a ton of amazing people, but they're being underpaid and over-leveraged for their compensation.
