Pros
This is one of the least political organizations I have worked for. You are able to speak your mind, disagree or agree and you are heard. There is trust for the people who are responsible for an area, but also honest constructive feedback. The company management group is still small and flat enough to make a real difference and impact to the overall organization. I think that the social responsibility aspect here is huge. Often it is hard to connect what we do as a career to having a positive impact on humanity. Here, the basis of the organization is charity partnership, sustainability and reuse. You can work here and actually feel like you are being a good human while working.
Cons
The company is experiencing the difficulties of moving from a medium sized "hands on" managed company to one that needs strong processes, systems, procedures and reporting to support the current size and future growth. As such, there are legacy systems and processes that need to be changed and the company is doing so, but there are pains associated with the transition.
