Pros
I wanted to give my review time to cool down after leaving Savatree so I could give the best outlook. I worked there for about a year and a half, and quit in the fall of 2016, to go back to school, not because I was dissatisfied with the job. Quite frankly, and perhaps it's the people I worked with and/or for, but I felt very comfortable and respected at Savatree. My managers in particular were fair and were very knowledgeable about the industry, I felt I could learn a lot from them, if that was my goal. Employees that work hard and show up on time are treated well, and have plenty of opportunities. You get exactly what you give. They tell you exactly what's expected of you, and if you fulfill that, you will never want for a different job again.
Cons
Make no mistake, this is not an easy job. The day starts early and lasts long. Overtime is not optional, but expected for just about the entire (working) year. The weather is unpredictable, and despite the best efforts of the company, it's impossible to say in any given year how much or how little you may work. More an issue of the industry than the company, but be forewarned nevertheless. Many of my co-workers had complaints about the company, and they're not unfounded, but overall I felt that the company did their best to address the issues when they were brought up.
