Pros
The strengths of working at this company are the other individuals aside from management, free snacks at times, food would be ordered in on certain occasions (I will elaborate on this later), and work from home is available depending on project. Overall, the most memorable thing at Sath was the co-workers which is what made it tolerable to work at the company. 401k, Health, Dental, Vision
Cons
Health, Dental, Vision is cheap for the employee, but ridiculous for dependents. Unfortunately my assessment of Sath will contain a plethora of information that can provide insight into the obstacles, liabilities, and weaknesses of the company which is apparent in the review that was left by the "CEO". The reason I say unfortunate is because I was optimistic in the beginning about the company, and ignored the reviews found here amongst other sources. In addition, I'm not the type to post a review on anything... in fact this is my first, and feel it is required due to my experiences at the company as well as the "CEO"s post here. First and foremost in response to what the CEO has said in his review "Nipa and I have built and sustained this company over 10 years with our sweat and blood" shows what kind of company this is as they do not recognize how the employees of Sath have helped kept the company running. Although this line of thinking follows one of the values of the company which states "No one is indispensable." Since I started with the values of the company lets continue on this path. The following is a non-exhaustive list of the companies values, and how things really are against these values. They pride themselves on not being a bureaucratic organization in that if there is a problem you find a solution, and you will get recognition for it. Unfortunately this is not the case as this is a very bureaucratic organization which is not apparent at first because you are given the freedom to perform activities how you see fit. Although, your idea will be manipulated in ways that management sees fit, and more often than not makes no sense at the end of it. The next value that is listed I feel I need to quote as it states "We care obsessively about the quality of our work we do." If you care obsessively about the work performed why not review that line, and utilize proper grammar. They say they do not tolerate internal politics, but there is favoritism which is evident within the first few weeks of employment. Once someone puts in their 2 weeks is when you really begin to notice the politics that go on within the company as they all the sudden are gone for some sort of misconduct, get sick, abducted by aliens, or some other line of "bovine waste" in an attempt to keep the curtains drawn. My favorite of them all is how the term "I" is avoided as it is a culture of "We". They claim "I" is exclusively used to admit screw ups... so as a team "We" succeed, but if "We" fail then it is ok to point the finger? Enough about the values of the company overall it is an environment with politics and secrets running rampant. With the most challenging aspect of trying to understand the internal politics, and knowing where not to step. Once you catch them in a deceitful act, and call them out on it be prepared for the consequences, termination. Sorry, I almost forgot to elaborate on the conditions of when management would order food for everyone. You could always expect food to be ordered after someone was terminated in an attempt to boost morale, and don't take any "planned" events to heart because they never happen. There is always a reason to why it didn't happen, or they just plain act like it was never talked about. The advise I can give for those who for some reason or another decide to accept an offer from this company is be sure to document what happens on a daily occurrence for your own notes. Do not bother following the industry standard of giving a 2 weeks' notice as you will be termed early. Do NOT sign anything without reading it and fully comprehending it. Save copies of all documents you sign for your records, and ensure they are signed by management. Be sure to get clarity on all forms of compensation, and to get it in writing with a signature from management. Lastly, DO NOT GET COMFORTABLE.
