Pros
Good pay, decent 401k, Bonuses, clean environment for food industry work. Good pay and lots of hours available if thats what you are looking for. Top level leadership are genuinely good people with honestly good intentions.
Cons
Large disconnect between levels of leadership. Low and mid level management wants to be noticed when things are going well but are quick to take down anyone that will make them look bad, lots of issues are swept under the rug. Skills and abilities where once considered a virtue, but college degrees carry more weight even with zero functional knowledge or experience. Lower management and leadership positions are encouraged to distance themselves from production level employees by mid Management, managers do not stand by or support their subordinates. Production employees don't feel they have a voice. Supervisory staff tend to block communication with higher levels, good or bad. Large inconsistencies between facilities in both policy and quality control. Retirement and health options are geared towards the older generation, not many good options for the younger class. Out of date practices and technology and not receptive to suggestions or improvements.
