Pros
As a startup environment, its fast paced and challenging on many different levels. People are the best I have worked with in my career and make for a great team environment Bar is fun not just for socializing but allowing for time to talk to people in departments you normally wouldn't speak to on a daily basis. (Drinking is always optional) Always looking to participate in community/charity events, which show commitment to our local area. The selection and quantity has increased over time which is great. Fun committee works hard at coming up with some out of the box events that you would not find at other "normal" companies. Karaoke in the office, rollerskating... doesn't get any better. If you work hard, you will be rewarded by the company one way or another - I have seen many people be promoted into different roles, or managers. This is always exciting to see.
Cons
First one of the cons, is reading the negative reviews on this site that don't provide a realistic view of the company. You work at a fast paced SaaS startup, where unless you change, adapt or succeed - you disappear as a company. Some of the people that don't have that spirit don't make it, then complain and blame others. The CEO is challenging to work with (I don't work directly, but I have heard) however, he is just like any of the other founder/CEO's out there - they demand the best from everyone on their team, and why shouldn't they - its their baby that we have the privilege to work on. The way I see it is, if our CEO was not good at what he did, then we certainly wouldn't be the amazing place we are today. If you can't /don't know how to work with an entrepreneurial CEO, then you probably shouldn't - but don't complain. Communication can use work, however I know that management is trying their hardest to give us as much info as they can in an ever changing environment.
