Pros

Small firm means good access to leadership/principals (including lots of interaction with Sam Schwartz himself). Good range of projects, with opportunities to acquire new skills and competencies (through self-learning). Interesting and talented group of people to work with, with lots of social events.

Cons

Pay is extremely low and there are few opportunities for growth. Huge amount of work leading to very late nights (e.g. 1 or 2 AM). Extremely high stress levels related to unrealistic deadlines and expectations (such as being asked to produce an entire presentation in 15 minutes), as well as being expected to work on multiple things at the same time. Aside from the CEO, leadership is extremely unprofessional, blaming employees for mismanagement and refusing to acknowledge legitimate work-related concerns. There is also a lot of favoritism which sees the same several employees receive promotions, raises, bonuses, and professional development opportunities such as trainings and conference attendance. Communication is also a huge issue, leading to duplicate work and high levels of professional frustration. They also put all their effort into a few large projects and one or two clients, leading to high variability in work.
