Pros

Challenging work in terms of project schedule and scope of work

Cons

worst company to work for non-engineering jobs. Career growth - ITS A WELL DESIGNED TRAP You stay in a position for at least 7-8 years before moving to next level (and you realize the scope of Work is the same as what you were doing from day 1). Management - WHO?? First of all, they shouldn't be called managers. Puppets with no knowledge of what they are supposed to do. And who returns the budget allocated to the dept(by not providing increment/bonus/not even office stationary) to please their managers. Training - WHAT!! Once upon a time, they had something called Training (even then it would only be given to few people whos managers pet) Increment/Bonus - HA HA HA!!

Pros

Great responsibility for offshore operations and quay-side mobilizations. Less technical role (no direct engineering performed), but more so, practical experience-driven when executing onsite.

Cons

Lots of reading and writing (Purchase Requests>Purchase Orders>Final contracts). Bureaucratic procurement (SAP and Word/Excel heavy) and poor interdepartmental follow-up: you have to do the follow-up when the assigned project inspector and expeditor (POSE) don't follow up on your PO. High workload.
