Pros

Sage is a very good company to work for. There is a big focus on the values: Trust, Human, Bold, Simplify and We do the right thing. The Sage market and product strategy is clear and drives us towards the purpose of the business. We have a dynamic Executive Leadership team who are passionate about scaling and growing the business. 1. Strong CEO who is passionate and dedicated to driving the business forward 2. Strong product portfolio catering for businesses of different sizes ranging from sole traders through to multi-billion Dollar operations 3. Market leaders in Ai and product automation powered by the Sage Network and Sage CoPilot 4. Talented product engineering organization 5. Clear product and market strategy 6. Evolving partner ecosystem transitioning to the selling new cloud propositions 7. Hybrid working with a number of offices being modernised

Cons

Like any large company Sage has challenges. The Executive Leadership team are focusing on working on these. The most notable challenges include how we simplify our product portfolio over time and how we support our partner ecosystem as they transition to selling cloud solutions as there is a generational shift in these partners. 1. Complex product portfolio that is being simplified overtime 2. Aging partner ecosystem starting to transition to selling cloud products 3. Worklife balance can be a challenge, but this is a choice - Sage does expect that you manage your time and find the balance that works for you

Pros

was hired as remote and get to have that honored, but have been openly told no career progression because of remote status. decent pay

Cons

Leadership instability: Seven manager changes during my relatively short tenure. Unrealistic targets: A sales quota set at 1,100% growth (not a typo). Slow product development: Getting anything actioned on the product side takes far too long. Product management turnover: Three product manager changes, resulting in no meaningful deliverables in over three years. Misaligned hiring priorities: Greater emphasis on DEI optics than on hiring people positioned to drive growth. Internal vs. customer focus: More energy spent on internal events than on product enhancements. Lack of accountability (the biggest issue): No one takes ownership. Responsibility gets passed around constantly — for example, client cancellations going unprocessed because they impact someone's numbers. Managers have openly encouraged pushing the work onto someone else rather than handling it.
