Pros

Good CSR programme, a few good colleagues who are willing to support you, building is generally nice and modern, free parking on-site, reasonable salary

Cons

Not ran like a FTSE 100 company - no processes or procedures and general disorganisation, virtually no support or training, no work life balance and unrealistic expectations, in a permanent state of chaos and fire fighting mode causing myself and other staff members stress and anxiety, incompetent senior management out of touch with front line, re-structure seems to have destroyed employee morale; vast majority of staff seemed very unhappy. Company seems to have been 'Americanised' since new CEO, this certainly doesn't translate well and is cringe-worthy. A lot of clique mentality amongst existing staff members who are not always willing to support new starters. I have never had issues such as these with any of my positions with other organisations. My advice - think long and hard before accepting a position at Sage and read reviews such as this.

Thanks for taking time to write your review. We agree the Sage Foundation is fantastic as it focuses on creating social and economic opportunity in the communities we operate within around the world. Sage has thousands of awesome colleagues across the globe and we have some fantastic environments where we work too. The Sage Academy is full of support, training (including our governance framework) and Linda.com which has 1000s of hours of fantastic learning & development modules. From HR Central there's a multitude of policy and procedure documents all aimed to ensure compliance and parity across the entire business. We also have our One Sage induction portal which all colleagues have access to before they join as well as once they start their new career with us. We are currently in the process of pulling together a ‘Leading at Sage’ program which will be available for all managers, it will focus on the ‘people management’ aspects to their role. Thanks for your comments and you can give us further detailed feedback at glassdoor@sage.com

Pros

was hired as remote and get to have that honored, but have been openly told no career progression because of remote status. decent pay

Cons

Leadership instability: Seven manager changes during my relatively short tenure. Unrealistic targets: A sales quota set at 1,100% growth (not a typo). Slow product development: Getting anything actioned on the product side takes far too long. Product management turnover: Three product manager changes, resulting in no meaningful deliverables in over three years. Misaligned hiring priorities: Greater emphasis on DEI optics than on hiring people positioned to drive growth. Internal vs. customer focus: More energy spent on internal events than on product enhancements. Lack of accountability (the biggest issue): No one takes ownership. Responsibility gets passed around constantly — for example, client cancellations going unprocessed because they impact someone's numbers. Managers have openly encouraged pushing the work onto someone else rather than handling it.
