Pros
Some great people, hybrid work environment, decent benefits
Cons
The one and two star reviews are spot on. Poor leadership at the highest level, unrealistic expectations, micro-management and just a daily grind is what you can expect if you take a position with us. We have a very unique way of making a difficult job that much more challenging. Safetynet is probably the cheapest company I have ever worked for also. Below industry standard pay, expect to wait a year before any retirement matching kicks in (probably because most new hires don't make it that long), any gift cards or work anniversary spiffs will be taxed as income and my personal favorite, our profit sharing bonuses called "gain share" have been suspended for the last 2 years because apparently we aren't profitable enough, despite the cost of our services being one of the highest (if not the highest) in the state of Michigan. You will be expected to work the occasional evening and weekend (which you won't be told during the interview process) due to other departments falling behind on their tasks because there isn't adequate support for the workloads they have, or to work on projects that "Senior Leadership" deems unworthy enough to do during normal work week hours. As of lately, higher paying positions are being replaced with lower paying positions and part-time interns despite the job duties and responsibilities remaining the same. As others have stated in their reviews, you will be required to sign a 2 year non-compete agreement if you decide to join our company and we will try to enforce it regardless if you eventually quit or are fired. And we have fired people with no warning whatsoever. It actually pains me to write this review because there are some really great people I work with. This review is no reflection on them. They are in the same boat I am, stuck until something better comes along. It's just unfortunate that many of these issues can be resolved fairly easily with some additional investment in resources, but that would mean leadership would have to take hit to the overall revenue numbers and they just aren't willing to do so. As soon as I can find another position I will be resigning if I am not let go first for some unspecified, unjustified reason.
