Unproductive and dysfunctional work environment - created by senior managers trying to get ahead using employees as pawns. Also due to employees not adhering to standard HR practices such as not engaging in inappropriate behavior towards other employees, and misusing work or professional development related meetings and events for personal or political gain. Preference given for individuals who are less family oriented and therefore can dedicate an exceedingly large amount of attention to company work, or individuals who have family or other types of relatioships or ties with senior executives.
